Growing up in a family where creativity flourished and gatherings were at the heart of daily life, Sondae Wall absorbed the importance of both beauty and connection from an early age. Her grandmother’s discerning eye for color, seasonal trends, and thoughtful detail sparked in Sondae a lifelong passion for crafting spaces that nurture and inspire. These early influences formed the foundation for her career, anchoring her in the belief that a beautifully made home can elevate everyday life.
After establishing herself in corporate America, she was drawn into the world of interiors by designing homes for friends and loved ones. This talent came quietly, expressed in the warm, layered ambiance of her own gatherings, where friends lingered and felt at home. Over time, these experiences became more than moments; they became evidence of a calling.
In 2001, Sondae accepted a position at Dilger Gibson, collaborating with renowned mentor Monique Gibson of Monique Gibson Interior Designs in NYC. Immersed in luxury residential projects, she honed her ability to weave personal narratives into sophisticated designs, orchestrate complex projects, and consistently exceed expectations across a diverse clientele.
The journey began not with a dramatic revelation, but with a series of quiet affirmations, each one building upon the last, until pursuing her design studio felt both inevitable and right. In 2008, Sondae Wall established her namesake studio in Atlanta.
Sondae Wall’s design approach is never formulaic; she considers the energy of the space and its occupants, matching design decisions to the unique rhythms of her clients’ lives. The result is a symphony of timelessness and calm, where every detail is tailored to uplift, restore, and nurture those within.
